SHORTEE SHA DROPS NEW SINGLE “WE GOT IT” PRODUCED BY DA INPHAMUS AMADEUZ AHEAD OF “A LETTER TO U TOO” ALBUM!

New York hip hop artist Shortee Sha is back with his latest single, “We Got It,” produced by Bronx native Da Inphamus Amadeuz of The Punchline Academy. The new record serves as the latest release from Shortee Sha’s upcoming album, “A Letter To U Too,” scheduled to arrive on all streaming platforms Friday, December 18, 2026. The project marks the second installment of his “A Letter To U” series, continuing a musical journey built around authentic New York hip hop, lyricism, and respect for the culture.

Shortee Sha has been steadily building his name in the underground hip hop scene through his gritty delivery, sharp lyricism, and dedication to traditional East Coast rap. His music reflects the influence of New York’s golden era while maintaining his own identity as an MC. His collaborations with Da Inphamus Amadeuz have further connected his sound to the boom bap tradition, including his appearance alongside Sos Bishop on “Posted On The Block” from The Punchline Academy’s album “When Music Had 2 Sides.”

PAYING HOMAGE TO GRAND DADDY I.U.

The title “A Letter To U Too” carries special meaning, paying homage to the late Grand Daddy I.U., one of New York hip hop’s respected lyricists. Emerging from Hempstead, Long Island, Grand Daddy I.U. made his mark after signing with Cold Chillin’ Records, the legendary label associated with artists including Big Daddy Kane, Kool G Rap, and Biz Markie. His 1990 debut album, “Smooth Assassin,” introduced fans to his laid-back delivery, clever wordplay, and unmistakable style. Records like “Something New” and “Sugar Free” helped establish his place in hip hop history. Grand Daddy I.U. passed away in December 2022, leaving behind a legacy that continues influencing MCs who value lyricism and storytelling.
