Bars Take Over 106th & Broadway
The Lyric League Series returned to New York City, this time making a stop on the Upper West Side for another unforgettable street cypher.
Hosted by Da Inphamus Amadeuz and The Punchline Academy, the latest episode was filmed at Upper Westside Skates on the corner of 106th Street and Broadway. The location provided the perfect backdrop for a day centered around lyricism, community, and authentic New York hip hop

Leading the charge was Bigg Dogg, who helped bring together a lineup of hungry emcees ready to represent the neighborhood. From the first verse to the final bar, every artist came prepared, turning the sidewalk into a stage and giving the crowd exactly what they came to see.
New York Energy on Full Display
The Upper West Side has always been part of New York City’s rich cultural landscape, and the cypher captured that energy from beginning to end.
There were no gimmicks. No distractions. Just hard bars over boom bap production, artists feeding off one another’s energy, and a crowd reacting in real time. That’s what has made the Lyric League Series different since day one.
Rather than bringing artists into a studio, The Punchline Academy brings the platform directly into neighborhoods, allowing each community to tell its own story through hip hop.
A Movement That Keeps Growing
The Upper West Side episode is another stop on The Punchline Academy’s nationwide Lyric League Series Tour, which has already traveled through Rochester, Buffalo, Columbus, Detroit, Newark, and now one of New York City’s most historic neighborhoods.
The series continues to grow with every city, introducing audiences to new artists while preserving the competitive spirit that made street cyphers a cornerstone of hip hop culture.
Today, The Punchline Academy has surpassed 100 million views across all platforms, making it one of the fastest-growing independent hip hop media brands in the country.
One block. One city. One cypher at a time.
The mission remains the same.
Real bars. Real streets. Real hip hop.
